Yala



If you are exploring the southern part of Sri Lanka, Yala National Park is a must visit place. Yala is very biodiverse. The main reason for the high bio diversity is the park having wetland zones, grasslands and thorny arid zones harbouring different types animals and plants.
A safari through the park will let you various kinds of animals. If you take an afternoon safari you will see many Sri Lankan leopards as they are very active during that time. You will also see elephants, wild bores, peacocks and many more animals, birds and plants.

Sinharaja



The Sinharaja Forest Reserve is the one and only rainforest in Sri Lanka and it was declared as a UNESCO world heritage site.The rainforest is situated in the Sabaragamuwa and Southern provices.
When exploring the forest, you will encounter multiple beautiful waterfalls and rivers. Sinharaja is home to thousands of endemic species of plants and animals. During your adventures mind your surroundings, as there are many species of snakes here, and some are venomous.
Bundala



Next to Yala is Bundala National Park. It is a wildlife sanctuary that is home to many animals and plants. One speciality of this sanctuary is migratory species visit it, so if you are visiting Bundala you will get to see some foreign birds. Also there are some elephants wandering around in the park.
